Day Services

The NCTC Day Service Program is licensed by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services and serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, aged 18 and older. Our overall goal is to provide individuals with the support needed to become as independent as possible and included as active members of the community. Training and support in the following areas will assist with achieving that goal:

Work Skills Training

Training provided assists individuals with developing skills needed to achieve the level of employment they desire. Community and center-based paid work opportunities such as cleaning crews, small assembly, shredding, collating, can recycling, and laundry are offered to not only teach a variety of job skills but also to help build individuals' confidence and learn their preferences.

Life Skills Training

Training provided assists individuals with developing social, self-help, recreational, leisure, healthy living, communication, and educational skills. Community events and activities as well as volunteer opportunities are offered to help enhance the life skills training.
